Vego Dark - Nuts & Berries Bar

If you are like me and have food no-nos like dairy or gluten/wheat then Vego ticks those boxes very easily!

I discovered Vego chocolate bars through a friend, a couple of years ago, when I was trialling certified gluten free chocolate brands, to move away from my love of Cadbury and keep gluten contamination down to zero, and I am so thankful I tried this brand because it has become one of my go-tos for sweet treats.

These 85g bars are certified fair trade, organic, palm oil free, vegan, gluten free, and made in Italy. They come packaged in a foil wrapper and contain three rows of five squares, of tasty goodness in each.

While they claim to be "share size" I will be honest, I definitely do not share! But if you're feeling generous then you can definitely split this bar with a friend.

Each bar is made from a rich smooth hazelnut paste, that is a nice balance of sweet and bitter - combined with blueberry, cranberry, raspberry and almonds bits to add a bit of texture and crunch to the experience.

I have tried the 'milk' chocolate and the white chocolate versions of these Vego bars and really enjoyed them, so it was no surprise to me that I enjoyed this Nuts and Berries Dark chocolate bar as well.

My family and I really enjoy the Vego brand and it has become some what of a staple at Easter time and as a special treat. It is really exciting to find such tasty gluten and dairy free brands, as a coeliac and my mum being dairy intolerant.
