I had seen all of the ads online and read all of the testimonials and while I was sceptical about yet another brand claiming to be the next best thing for my skin - I was also super curious about what Sand & Sky could do for my skin and if it did indeed, live up to the reputation!
Sand & Sky was created by two Australian women, Sarah and Emily Hamilton, who wanted to share Australia's leading botanicals with the world in the form of a simple, easy to use product. Their goal is no crazy claims, no indecipherable ingredients, and the use of clean effective formulas that are gentle on the skin.
The hero ingredients of their staple products are Australian Pink Clay and Australian Emu Apple, which are both sourced from clean outback Australia, and help with deep cleaning, detoxifying, pore-refining, antiaging, vitamin c and antioxidants.
There products are cruelty free, PETA approved, free of nasties and packaged in recyclable packaging, gluten free, sulfate free, silicone free, paraben free, phthalate free.

At the time of my first order, the Australian Pink Clay Pore Refining Face Mask, was one of the only products available online to try, so I ordered the 60g jar, which came with a small application brush. The product comes in a sturdy jar, which I believe is made from glass, and has a screw top lid with a secondary freshness cap underneath.
Application is very straight forward: Apply an even layer of the product to clean, dry skin and allow it to dry on your skin for 10 minutes, or until the mask completely dries. Then you simply remove it gently with warm water and pat dry. Recommended use states: Use 2-3 times a week if you have oily to combination skin, or 1-2 times a week if you have dry or sensitive skin.
I found that the face mask applied smooth and easily to my skin with the use of the application brush and I didn't need a lot of product to cover my whole face. As someone with sensitive skin, I was also worried about any skin irritation or reactions, like I have experienced with other products, such as a burning/stinging feeling or redness and much to my delight - I did not experience any of these while using this mask!
After one application of the mask, the redness of my break outs around my mouth lessened and my skin felt smooth and brightened. After a few more applications my pores looked visibly smaller and the black heads across my nose and cheeks were less noticeable.

In my second shipment, I ordered the Australian Pink Clay Perfect Skin Kit, which came with the 60g Australia Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask, a bottle of 100g Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment and an application brush.
As someone that struggles with dry skin, I was surprised by the exfoliating treatment, I honestly believed I was going to come out with even worse dry spots around my nose, forehead and mouth - thankfully it had quite the opposite effect!
The pink clay in the treatment helps to attract the dirt, while the bamboo and macadamia exfoliate the dry skin and impurities, the Australian finger lime helps to speed up fresh cell reproduction and the rosehip, grapeseed and olive oils put back the moisture. This whole combination of ingredients has completely changed how I view skin exfoliation forever! I had not had any trouble with dry skin since using this exfoliating treatment as it buffs the skin just enough to remove the dead skin cells without creating more peeling and discomfort.

I have ordered many more shipments since my first order of Sand & Sky and I can say without question, this product is the only face mask I recommend wholeheartedly to people when they ask. The products are high quality, Australian grown and owned, and have given me all the results I had hoped for, after reading their reviews.
The products are gentle enough for sensitive skin, don't further dry out flaky, dry skin, they have no caused irritation, burning, redness or break outs for me personally, and in my opinion, are worth the price paid for.
All in all, I believe this product is definitely worth trialling if you are looking for a new skin treatment and could even become a staple in your skin routine, like it has in mine, if you find the same results as I do. While I don't represent this company in any way, I do love this product and feel this clay mask should at least be on your "to try" list for make up and self care products.
**The picture at the top of this post feature a travel sized (limited edition, I believe) pack with a make up or mask remover mitt and mini spatula. I loved this pack because it was easy to take with me in my bag or fit in to my toiletries bag when traveling. I also kept the container to refill from my larger container for future travel because of the quality of the packaging and less waste.**
**The extra products features in photos such as the silicone exfoliator and the hair scrunches were part of promotions running at the time of my purchases**
