Over the last thirteen years I have had multiple diagnosis of autoimmune disease and was advised against taking over the counter medications, due to their interactions with my daily prescriptions and the long term effects on my body. While I manage quite well and do have a higher pain tolerance, I do still experience pain like everyone else, and sometimes pain relief is necessary for a persistent head ache or ailment.
I have trialled a lot of different natural pain relief options over my time such as herbal remedies mixed by professionals, essential oils, hot and cold treatments, chiro and physio etc. and have found many ways to manage pain without pharmaceuticals, which has been quite a fascinating adventure, learning what my body is capable of.
Originally when I first saw this product, a friend on Facebook was talking about the dietary supplements they offered. When I saw they offered alternative pain relief methods I thought why not give it a go and see if this could be something I could add to my repertoire. I have been trialling the Q Spray for a month now and I'll be honest it has surprised me. Q Relief spray is a mix of herbal extracts with a key pain modulating amino acid that can aid in fighting acute and chronic pain. This combination is said to reduce the pain response in peripheral nerves and the brain and stimulate the production of nerve blocking chemicals to aid in pain relief.
What is in Q relief? • GABA: An amino acid with a track record of treating both pain and anxiety.* • Boswellia: Derived from the Frankincense herb, boswellia inhibits inflammation and reduces associated pain.* • Curcumin: Derived from the herb turmeric, curcumin is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.* • Devil’s Claw: Historically known to have significant pain-relieving properties comparable to anti-inflammatory medications.* • Skullcap: Used for centuries for its calming and pain-relieving effects on both the nerves and the brain.* • White Willow Bark: Contains salicin, an anti-inflammatory substance that is related to salicylic acid in aspirin, which was derived from willow bark.*
The spray does not contain yeast, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavours or colouring, added sugars, is GMO free and vegan.
The spray is super easy to use - shake well, spray directly into the mouth and swallow. It has a light peppermint taste along with the herbs which makes it quite palatable and doesn't leave a strong after taste like some herbal remedies can. You can have up to 16 sprays a day as needed.
I personally find this product helpful in dealing with mild pain (whether it be psychosomatic or otherwise) I have used this for headaches, sinus pain from a cold and general back aches and pains and have found the pain to subside for some time. My sister has also found it helpful in dealing with period cramps and tension headaches.
As stated above, I don't take pain relief so a little tends to go a long way for me, however my sister does take over the counter medications and finds the standard dosage of the spray helpful.
