Over the past few years I have noticed my favourite gluten free brands disappearing from local store shelves and it has been incredibly disappointing to see this.
Finding good brands is never easy. I come from the days - ten years ago - when there were barely any options, but now there are so many options available (which is beyond exciting!) Its just a shame that big chain stores keep replacing them with their own brand name versions, as they never seem to taste the same.
I recently came across an online store on Instagram (thank goodness for the internet!) by the name of Gluten Free Pantry and was very excited to find the Gluten Free brands that I love so much, were being stocked there. I spent a few days going through all of the amazing options to try and promptly created my "favourites" list! Once a few of my favs came back in stock I placed my order and this is what I bought!
4 x BuonTempo Pasta Spirals & Penne - 500g
This is my every day, always stocked, brand of pasta. I have tried an unbelievable amount of gluten free pasta brands and none of them have been as tasty or cook as well (aka can be cooked al dente or a little more without turning to mush) as BuonTempo. Our cupboard always has spirals, penne and spaghetti pasta stocked up for all of our pasta needs.
BuonTempo is gluten fee, wheat free, vegan, vegetarian and kosher.
1 x Schar Digestive Choc Biscuits - 150g
Schar is not only my favourite gluten free brand but these are some of my favourite biscuits! They are a high fibre biscuit with the base dipped in a layer of milk chocolate.
Schar is free from gluten, wheat and preservatives, with no added egg.
1 x Schar Pizza Bases - 2x 150g
Another product from my favourite brand. These Schar pizza bases are some of the best I've eaten, as they have a thickness to them and they're a decent size as well, which means they're filling.
These are Italian style pizza bases. They are FODMAP friendly, vegan, vegetarian and free from gluten, wheat, lactose, palm oil and preservatives, with no added milk or egg.
1 x Clarana Chocolate Buttons - 125g
I saw these colourful little gems posted on Gluten Free Pantry's Instagram feed. I genuinely added them to the check out cart as soon as I saw them as I was craving some m&ms and needing to cut dairy out.
These chocolate buttons by Clarana are vegan, gluten free and palm oil free. All natural colours and titanium dioxide free.
1 x Bragg Nutritional Yeast Seasoning - 127g
So many recipes I have come across have asked for nutritional yeast instead of cheese and when I saw that this was free of all the things I have to avoid I grabbed some to try.
Bragg's Nutritional Yeast Seasoning is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, GMO free, lactose free, no added preservatives, no artificial colours, soy free, sugar free, wheat free.
1 x Yes You Can Buttermilk Pancake Mix - 300g
Occasionally we like to spoil ourselves, as a family, with a pancake breakfast. I decided to try one of the brands on off and Yes You Can was an easy choice and super easy to make and cook!
Yes You Can is Endorsed gluten free by Coeliac Australia, free from wheat, soy, tree nuts, yeast and GMOs and is Halal.
Yes You Can is an Australian Company.
1 x Naturally Good Breakfast Biscuit - Paleo Maple Hemp - 150g (5x 30g)
I've been interested in trying some other breakfast options and the hemp sold me. These breakfast biscuits are plant based, nutrient dense and contain prebiotic wholefoods. These biscuits contain natural ingredients and no refined cane sugar, artificial colours or flavours.
Naturally Good is endorsed gluten free by Coeliac Australia. Products are free from wheat, dairy, lactose and egg. Vegan, vegetarian, paleo.
1 x Moo Free Premium Cinder Toffee - 80g
A favourite gluten and dairy free chocolate brand of mine. Moo Free chocolate has never disappointed. Premium Cinder Toffee is an organic rice milk chocolate bar made from a blend of cocoa, sugar, and rice with vegan friendly cinder toffee (aka vegan honeycomb).
Moo Free is a dedicated dairy, soya, and gluten free factory.
These products are gluten free, dairy free, egg free, lactose free , soy free, wheat free, organic, vegan, vegetarian.
1 x Naturally Good Munchy Muesli Cookies Chocolate Chip - 160g
I've tried these cookies before in chocolate, so I decided to try them in another flavour. Munchy Muesli Cookies are made with supergrains and are a low sugar, low fat, tasty alternative to museli bars!
Munchy Muesli Cookie is endorsed gluten free by Coeliac Australia. Free from wheat, dairy, lactose, egg, artificial colours and flavours, and suitable for those following a Vegan/Vegetarian or FODMAP diet.
1 x Dr Superfoods Dark Chocolate Wild Blueberries - 125g
I've never seen Dr. Superfoods before but I love blueberries and chocolate so this was a cool find! These tasty treats are dried blueberries from north eastern Canada, coated in dark Belgian chocolate.
Dr. Superfoods dark chocolate wild blueberries are vegan and vegetarian friendly, gluten free, contain no artificial colours or flavours and are made here in Australia.
I will be doing a few individual blog posts about these products to give you a more detailed description on the brand and my personal thoughts on the products that I try - so stay tuned for those!
